Safeguard Doors Steel Doors

	To ensure a snug and waterproof fit, HMI installs a Vinyl Rain Cap along the top most edge of your HMI Door.		Dual Rolled Steel Edges
	In order to increase the R-Value of the door, HMI fills the center with a Pressurized High Density Foam		HMI is the only home entry door dealer to provide 20 Gauge Steel Surfaces on all their steel entry doors.
	Providing extra strength, Heavy 14 Gauge Reinforcement is installed at the Knoband Deadbolt		The Vinyl Thermal Strip acts as a barrier between the two slabs of steel to provide a more insulated surface.
	At the heart of the door, HMI installs a 19″ Security Lock Block made of solid wood to reinforce the deadbolt.		The ThermoPlastic Elastoper Door Sweep, also known as TPE Sweep, provides a tight seal resistant to the harshest weather conditions.

	All Safeguard Doors are equipped with a magenetic weatherstrip which enforces a positive air seal between the door and the door frame. Lining the top and hindge side of the door, along with a compression strip on the opposing side,the magnetic weather strip ensures that your door does not leak any air, either from outside in or inside out. This, in turn, provides you with a greater amount of energy saving insulation.
	HMI offers inter-locking ball bearing hinges with their SafeGuard™Steel Doors. In the case of an intruder who knocks out the door hinge pin, these heavy duty, higly durable hinges help prevent intruders from breaking in your home by locking itself in position with a small interlocking nib that doesn’t allow intruders to slide the door apart from its corresponding hinges. HMI’s doors, at an average of 40% heavier than conventional home entryway’s, require these high durability ball bearing hinges to support and provide the door with the smoothest operation.
	Providing even more insulation is HMI’s adjust & lock threshold with Thermal Break. Aluminum in itself is a great conductor of heat and cold. But with HMI’s thermal break this isn’t the case anymore. Between two pieces of durable extruded aluminum threshold is a strip of insulating plastic polymer that completely separates the two pieces in order to prevent the transfer of heat or cold between the indoors and outdoors.
